The STG13500RP is a low cost rack and pinion stage that offers 13.6" x 5" of travel in a thin
(.75" thick) X, Y stage. The unit was designed specifically to maneuver three well plates. It has a solid plate design to allow for maximum reliability and regidity.
The bottom plate attachment has a mounting screw hole pattern, but can be modified for you specific needs. The X, Y stage provides 15um repeatability with a submicron resolution. The unit also
offers control of a Z-axis. The Z-axis drive easily attaches to most microscopes and provides up to
0.1um resolution or a stepper motor with connector can be provided and the user mounts it how they choose. The stage 13500RP provides precise control of the X, Y axis speed through an exceptionally
smooth joystick. The speed is proportional to joystick deflection with velocities from as slow as single
steps to full traverse speed. Remote focus of the z-axis is provided via a focusing knob on the controller.
The unit also provides three user selectable sensitivities for the joystick and Z-encoder for added control.
The unit con be controlled manually or through standard RS-232 commands. The controller provides a display
of X, Y and Z coordinates locally on an LED display. These coordinates are also available via RS-232.
The stage 13500 is an economical unit that works well in a number of applications.
