The STG4400RP is a low cost rack and pinion stage that offers 4" x 4" of travel in a thin (.75" thick) X, Y stage. The unit has a standard circular dovetail mount that allows it to easily attach to most microscopes. The X, Y stage provides 15um repeatability with a submicron resolution. The unit also offers control of the Z-axis. The Z-axis drive easily attaches to most microscopes and provides up to 0.1um resolution. The stage 4400RP provides precise control of the X, Y axis speed through an exceptionally smooth joystick. The speed is proportional to joystick deflection with velocities from as slow as single steps to full traverse speed. Remote focus of the z-axis is provided via a focusing knob on the controller. The unit also provides three user selectable sensitivities for the joystick and Z-encoder for added control. The unit con be controlled manually or through standard RS-232 commands. The controller provides a display of X, Y and Z coordinates locally on an LED display. These coordinates are also available via RS-232. The stage 4400 is an economical unit that works well in a number of applications. It comes standard with a 116mm square glass window. There is a list of Inserts available for this stage. There is also a Well Plate (compatible with 24, 96, 384 wells) top or a solid top with a custom hole pattern.
