       The Stage Controller CTLXYZIH is a table top, high speed, USB, stepper motor driver controller. The controller can be configured to drive many variations of our stepper motor stages. Standard with three axis stepper motor control, plus three axis encoder input. Additional bit inputs and outputs are available. The control has a built in unique serial number plus the ability to read the axis serial numbers of each axis of our stages. The controller provides precise control of the X, Y axis speed through an exceptionally smooth joystick. The speed is proportional to joystick deflection with velocities from as slow as single steps to full traverse speed. Remote focus of the z-axis is provided via a focusing knob on the control module. The unit also provides three user selectable sensitivities for the joystick and Z-encoder for added control. The unit con be controlled manually or through standard USB (COM Port) commands. The controller provides a display of X, Y and Z coordinates locally on an LED display. These coordinates are also available via USB (COM Port).

  • 600 nanosecond low level servo loop for very fast and stable encoder servoing.
  • USB -> serial adapter built in. The control looks like a additional serial port. Once the USB driver is installed.
  • Better serial communication responces. Higher baud rate (57600) and the control now responds to serial requests within a few ms.
  • Two coordinate systems, Machine coordinates and User Coordinates.

  • Ludl Compatible command sets. All commands end/respond immediately, motion can then be monitored with the STATUS command. The position can be obtain with the where command during a motion.
  • Smother motion => quieter. The low level wave forms have been optimized.
  • An advanced sync algorithm for all motion. The motion will be in a vector and end at the same time.
  • The most accurate speed control form 1 pulse per second to 400,000 pulses per second in integer steps.
  • The most accurate acceleration profile and control including Jerk Control (acceleration profile control)
  • The most accurate syncronization with external hardware. The controller comes standard with hardware/firmware that can produce syncronization pulses accurate to a single microstep to syncronize external hardware. (see WSIZE, WINTERVAL WMODE)
  • More control over user inputs. (invert any joystick axis or z-encoder and enable/disable them individually)
  • Better axis inverting. An axis can be inverted and all relative electronics are syncronized with it (limit switch, encoder direction....) => For example, neg limit switch bit is always the neg limit switch. if active you can only move in the positive direction.
  • Better serial communication responces. Higher baud rate (57600) and the control now responds to serial requests within a few ms.
  • Built in auto respond functions. The controller can be configured to automatically send a responce to certain situations (position updates, encoder Latching, End of Move EOM), thus avoiding time costly polling.
  • seperate units control for the display and PC comunications. You can display one set of units on the display, while comunicating in differant units.
  • New Power down mode. turns off motors and display, but can still comunicate over com port.
  • Home no longer zero axis. Home can be to any limits switchs.
  • Each axis has a built in serial number and eerpom for axis specific data.
  • Clean room compatible.
  • Universal 50/60 Hz, 90-240 Volt AC input power supply.
